In the last World Cup held in Brazil, some countries did Theme Houses in Rio de Janeiro and was a success. I remember visiting the Houses of Switzerland, Russia and France. Now, in the the Olympic Games 2016, more than 30 Thematic houses are preparing a big party during the Olympic Games.
What are the Thematic houses?
Thematic houses are true every country Embassies idealized to receive the fans, journalists, partners and athletes and offer the best of its cuisine in an environment of great celebration and relaxation. In addition to gastronomy, you can also dip a bit in art, culture and attractions of each nation. Some will be closed to sponsors but most will be open to the public.
The House of Switzerland, for example, will mount a huge ice rink in Lagoa Rodrigues de Freitas.

NBA – Olympic Games

The Netherlands – Olympic Games

Timetables and attractions are still being confirmed, but the house will feature internationally known DJs, award ceremonies and the presence of great champions of Holland. Besides the transmission of the games, the guests can practice different types of sports in the house, including swimming, basketball, football “5 to side” and beach volleyball. The house will also offer stand-up paddle lessons and bootcamp on Ipanema Beach and groups running in the morning.

Visitors will be able to experience winter sports through virtual reality, while the outdoor stage (facing the beach), there will be tasting Korean food.
